Welcoming 2026 and Looking Forward to the Eurozone

At the beginning of the new year, we look again to the One who never changes, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith. His faithfulness is the greatest blessing for us as a Mission and even in the midst of the difficulties we face every day, God provides all we need and guides us in a wonderful way.

In 2025, Bulgaria’s priority was to meet the requirements for joining the Eurozone and adopting the Euro at the start of 2026. Let us pray that this transition will be smooth for Bulgaria, still the poorest country in the EU, and that it will not lead to greater poverty. The expected increase in the tax burden may reduce people’s incomes, including those of our beneficiaries.

People are desperate and disillusioned and therefore the need for true hope through faith in the living God is growing. Let us pray that the good news of the Gospel will be shared even more in 2026 and that the Mission’s support – spiritual, educational, emotional, and material – will be even more tangible.

Let us pray that God will raise up more young people who are dedicated to God and willing to serve the Lord and volunteer for the Mission. This is why we emphasize our work with young people.

The Mission is also concerned about the literacy of the Roma children we work with. Our teachers, who volunteer in the Mission’s after school’s activities, report a significant improvement in the grades of these children, and their school teachers are impressed by the effective work of Mission Without Borders. The Mission’s support for scholarships enables these children not only to stay in school and not drop out, but to continue their education and even continue their studies at universities.

Along with young families and children, we continue our work with the most vulnerable in Bulgarian society, namely the homeless and the elderly. Please pray for these target groups, as they are progressively increasing, and they see Mission Without Borders as one of the few – if not the only – organizations that cares for them and is ready to help them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you, dear friends, who support the work of the Mission in Bulgaria with prayer and financially. Without your help, this work would not be possible. Have a blessed New Year and may we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord.
